It is the mission of the Greater Erie Alliance for Equality, Inc. to help bring the LGBT community and its straight allies together through social events, educational programs and informational opportunities designed to strengthen our voice and enhance our image in the region.

The Greater Erie Alliance for Equality, Inc. (formerly Erie Gay Pride, Inc.) is a 501 (c) 3 organization as outlined in the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. Donations made to GEAE are tax deductible on Federal income tax returns to the extend allowable by law.

A recent editorial in the DesMoines (Iowa) Register noted that “The United States is not really the land of the free if you are gay and live in a state that does not allow you to marry the person you love. It’s actually the ‘land of discrimination.’ You don’t have the same rights as your heterosexual friends and neighbors.”
