Please join us for this one-day event on Saturday, November 16, 2019. Some of the topics and the discussions include: LGBTQ and Health Issues, LGBTQ and the Arts, and State of LGBT Affairs, Globally and in the United States (and/or Knowing our Rights).   See schedule below for details.

The symposium begins at 8 am with registration and coffee, includes a boxed lunch, and events throughout the day until 5 pm. All interested people are invited to attend!

Heather Denning (M.A., ATR-BC, ATCS, LSW), Program Director of Art Therapy at Mercyhurst University: Exploring how art therapy can be a benefit for the LGBTQ Community.

State Representative Malcolm Kenyatta (Pennsylvania’s first openly gay person of color in the state legislature); a non-partisan reflection on LGBTQ people in politics and our legal rights.

1:45 – 2:30 PM           HIV/AIDS Education

Physician Assistant, Jeff Hover (LECOM); Nurse Practitioner, Andi Fair (Adagio Health), and other area care givers will discuss work in HIV/AIDS education and care, inclusive of new data and research in HIV/AIDS, and the pharmaceutical use of PreP to prevent new HIV infections.
